Emergency? Call us now.
Our emergency desk is staffed every hour of the year. Call ahead if you can — it lets us prepare before you arrive — but never delay coming in for the sake of a phone call.
Do not wait for an appointment.
- Bleeding in pregnancy, or fluid leaking before your due date
- Regular, painful contractions, or your waters have broken
- Reduced or absent baby movements after 28 weeks
- Severe headache, blurred vision or swelling in late pregnancy
- Severe or sudden abdominal pain
- A wound that will not stop bleeding
- High fever with confusion or difficulty breathing
- Any injury you are worried about
This list covers common reasons to attend, not every one. If something feels seriously wrong, come in or call — nobody at our emergency desk will mind you being cautious.
The first few minutes.
Tell the desk what is wrong
Say it plainly and quickly. The most urgent cases are seen first, not the earliest arrivals.
Initial assessment
A nurse or doctor checks your vital signs and decides how urgently you need to be seen.
Treatment begins
Pain relief, tests, scans or theatre — whatever the case needs. A family member is kept informed.
Admission or discharge
You are either admitted for observation and treatment, or sent home with a clear plan and a follow-up date.
Bring if you can
- Any medicines the patient is taking
- Previous reports, scans and discharge summaries
- Photo identity proof
- Antenatal card, for pregnancy emergencies
- The name of the doctor who has been treating you
If you have none of these with you, come anyway. We will treat first and take details afterwards.
Ambulance & transfers
The hospital does not run an ambulance of its own. For an emergency pick-up, call the free Gujarat state ambulance service on 108 — it is staffed around the clock and there is no charge for the journey.
Free state ambulance 108If someone can drive you, that is often quicker than waiting. Call us on the way so the team is ready when you arrive, and do not wait for an ambulance if the patient can travel safely by car.
